POSITION VACANT – PLANT COORDINATOR

WE’RE HIRING – PLANT COORDINATOR

Are you organised, proactive and good at keeping things moving?

Do you have a strong understanding of plant, equipment, transport and people — and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same?

We’re looking for a Plant Coordinator to join our team and take responsibility for coordinating and allocating our plant, equipment, operators and subcontractors to keep jobs running efficiently.

This is a hands-on coordination role where you’ll work closely with our managers, operators, clients and the Managing Director to make sure the right people and equipment are in the right place at the right time.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing and allocating company plant and equipment, including low loaders and watercarts
  • Coordinating operators and staff according to changing operational demands
  • Scheduling jobs, subcontractors and equipment
  • Working closely with managers and supervisors to meet company targets and client expectations
  • Maintain plant allocation job sheets
  • Processing employee timesheets and ensuring jobs are correctly invoiced
  • Coordinating vehicle and machine availability for routine maintenance
  • Monitoring driver rosters and hours to support fatigue management
  • Ensuring drivers have appropriate rest and that planned activities align with actual work
  • Helping maintain a strong focus on safety, quality and compliance

What We’re Looking For

  • Someone who is organised and has excellent attention to detail
  • A confident and clear communicator
  • A proactive person who doesn’t wait to be told what needs doing
  • Someone who can work under pressure and has a strong sense of urgency
  • Good computer and administration skills
  • Someone who can confidently coordinate people, equipment and changing priorities
  • A team player who can build good relationships with a wide range of people
  • Someone with a professional, positive and can-do attitude
  • The ability to work independently when required
  • Experience in transport, plant, earthmoving, construction or a similar industry would be highly regarded

What You’ll Need

You don’t need to have a particular qualification to be successful in this role.

What matters to us is that you’re organised, reliable, confident, switched-on and able to get things done. You need to be comfortable dealing with people, solving problems and making decisions when things don’t go exactly to plan.

Why Join Us?

  • Be at the centre of our day-to-day operations
  • Work with a wide range of heavy plant, equipment and transport
  • Work with a great mix of people across our operations
  • No two days are the same
  • Take ownership and make a real difference to how efficiently our jobs run
  • Work across a variety of projects and clients
